A Saturday Coffeehouse post. And the final post of 2011. So, I haven't had internet at home since Tuesday and I was having major withdrawals so I came out to the coffeehouse today to soak up some internet so I would not feel totally cut off from the world as the New Year approaches. Allegedly, there will be a technician at the house tomorrow to fix the internet. I suspect that one of my neighbors was trying to get some free cable/internet (which I base on the fact that the cover is off the cable housing near my apartment) and they disconnected me. Either that or someone is a spiteful asshat. I probably got a new modem for nothing, but the old one was 6 years old, so it was probably time.
I worked on the Closet from Hell yesterday. I got quite a bit done but if you were to look at my bedroom you'd probably not think I made any progress at all. But, there was progress.
I still have work to do on the apartment. I want to have things looking ok when the tech comes tomorrow so I won't get the "you're just white trash and I don't have to respect you" crap. Still, at this point, I don't care how much of an asshat the tech is if he connects me to the internet.
2011 has certainly been a challenge. Will be interested to see what 2012 holds. If it's indeed the last year all of us have, I say we make the most of it. (That way, if it isn't the last, we'll have had a super year AND get another go at it!)
