Momma Weedy has already herded Mr. POSSLQ in to bed (sometimes you feel you're herding cats in life... and sometimes the cat herds YOU)! She comes waltzing into the office and has a particular tone of meow that we translate to "It's time for bed now" and then she will walk to the door and look back over her shoulder at us. If we don't come right away, she'll come over and bonk us with her head, meow in that tone once again and go again to sit by the door. Repeat until you get with the program and GO TO BED.
Now that she has successfully herded Mr. POSSLQ, she will enlist him for pettins for a while, making sure has plenty of time and opportunity to view her magnificent backside and then she will, eventually, come back and insist to me that I get to bed RIGHT NOW! (MAO!) I usually end up following her unless I had planned a soak in the tub (and the new tub is WONDERFUL for baths) in which case I detour at the bathroom and she's none too pleased with THAT. She pays me back for my disobedience by laying down square in the middle of my bed so that when I come in, I have to disrupt her and she can then lecture me and let me know that I will now have to pay the toll to get into bed and will demand pettins until she is satisfied that next time I will toe the line and heed her call to bed.
Some nights, if we are in our beds reading, she will march back and forth between the beds, demanding pettins from each of us and making sure we have a good view of her backside (this is a specialty of hers) until she decides that it is time for sleeping, whereupon she usually takes up residence on top of me (and it seems she is VERY heavy when she does this... I swear that cats have the ability to suddenly feel many pounds heavier at will) and let it be known that the reading must stop because there is petting to be done and it will really require all of my attention, thankyouverymuch.
I'm going to see if I can scoot into the tub now before she gets back to inform me that it is way past her bedtime and I need to get with the program and come to bed!

That is a beautiful cat! We love our cat too.
I would like to take a nap with Momma Weedy. She looks like an Olympic cuddler.
LOL - that's cute! Your kitty is just trying to make sure you get to bed at a decent time.
I think my cats just roll their eyes when I go to sleep at seven at night. I mean seriously, they've been sleeping all day.
