Hello Internetz and welcome to another F-Word Friday. Today's F-Word is film. As in, "Mr. POSSLQ recently posted the film he made on his trip"... (ok, these days we call it "video", but 'video' isn't an F-Word, FFS). So, you can mosey on over to his blog and check that out!
The project I've been gearing up for is underway. It is a bit time-consuming but so far looks to be working out pretty well. More working on that stuff tomorrow. And I got the flyer from the local liquor store that does the wine tastings and they WILL be tasting tomorrow, so that's on the agenda, as well.
It'll be a low-key 4th at the Little House on the Hill. No big plans, just sortve hangin' out and being mellow. If I get ambitious, there will be cupcakes. I have all the ingredients again.
Big laugh today was Mr. POSSLQ's boss called him to tell him that since he's back in town, he can come in and work tomorrow if he wants to. Seriously, what is the thought process with this person? I guess maybe if your life revolves around work or something, it's your prerogative. And I am somewhat a workaholic myself but I know that your "real" work ends up being adversely affected when you don't have any "down time". I'm all for "going the extra mile" (as evidenced by the fact that when I was leaving the other night, a full hour after I'd planned to leave, I stayed a little longer to get the folks who were going to be burning the midnight oil some dinner. Sure, one of them could have gone out and gotten dinner, but I figured it was a little "extra" I could easily do and was happy to do it, even though it took me an hour to take orders, relay them to the restaurant, fetch the order, deliver the order to the team. I even picked up something for the guy who said he didn't want anything because I figured he was eventually going to get hungry). I know Mr. POSSLQ is horrendously burned out (6 straight weeks of being "on call" will do that do you).
Have a lovely, safe holiday weekend, Internetz!

You got dinner for everyone? They'd better appreciate it -- although they probably won't. Enjoy your downtime this weekend, your projects (hey, how did that solid balm or solid something you were making turn out?), and enjoy the wine tasting! Let us know if you taste any wines you'd recommend.
